Jarrett Allen is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA'>NBA). He was born on April 21, 1998 in Round Rock, Texas and attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas.

Allen was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 NBA'>NBA Draft. He made his NBA'>NBA debut on October 18, 2017, and has since become a key contributor for the Nets. He has earned a reputation as a strong rim protector and rebounder, and is known for his ability to finish around the rim.

In his rookie season, Allen averaged 8.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. He was named to the NBA'>NBA All-Rookie Second Team and was also selected to participate in the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge.
