Mike Fratello is a former NBA head coach and current television analyst. He is best known for his time as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Memphis Grizzlies.

Mike Fratello is an American basketball coach and television analyst. He is best known for his time as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is also known for his work as a television analyst for TNT and NBA TV.

Fratello was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, and attended Hackensack High School. He then attended Montclair State University, where he played basketball and graduated with a degree in education. After college, he began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Rhode Island. He then moved on to become an assistant coach at Old Dominion University, and then the head coach at the University of Tennessee.

In 1983, Fratello was hired as the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks. He led the team to the playoffs in each of his four seasons with the team, and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1985. He then moved on to become the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1993. He led the team to the playoffs in each of his six seasons with the team, and was named NBA Coach of the Year in 1998.

In 2006, Fratello was hired as the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. He led the team to the playoffs in each of his three seasons with the team. He then moved on to become a television analyst for TNT and NBA TV. He has been a part of the TNT broadcast team since 2006, and has been a part of the NBA TV broadcast team since 2011.

Fratello is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in NBA history. He has a career record of 667-548, and has been named NBA Coach of the Year twice. He is also known for his work as a television analyst, and is widely respected for his knowledge and insight into the game of basketball.
